FAQ

Q – Who certifies your products Organic?

A – We actually have our products certified by 3 independent organic regulatory agencies… Bureau Veritas France, EcoCert NOP USDA Organic and Soil Association UK.

Q – Why do you use the capsules you use and not something else?

A – Great question! There is actually a defra ruling for Organic certified products within the UK/EU that we have to use HPMC. Unfortunately, we do not have a choice on this and it is a mandatory regulatory requirement for us to use these capsules. We have been petitioning for a change in this ruling since 2017. Soil Association have strict requirements to make sure we meet their standards and the capsules are organic compliant. See question below.

Q – Are there different types of HPMC and what are they made from?

A – Another great question! Unfortunately for the customer, HPMC can be made in many different ways and still labeled as HPMC so the consumer has no way to tell the difference between a clean HPMC and one filled with glues and chemicals. Our capsules are made from None GMO plant cellulose and water using advanced technology which allows the capsule to be made without glues and nasties etc. Soil Association audit and inspect this process as part of our regular inspection audit process so you can be assured they meet organic compliance.
